Vacancy of 1064 Sahayak post under Assam power Distribution Company Ltd

Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd. invites applications from intending candidates who citizen of India and domicile in Assam in the prescribed format for filling up of 1064 posts of Sahayak under APDCL.
They will be initially engaged as trainee for a period of 1(one) year on payment of monthly stipend of Rs.6,000/- (Rupees six thousand) only. On successful completion of the training period of 1(one) year subject to satisfactory performance report from the controlling officers, they will be appointed as Sahayak at the Pay Band of Rs.4720-18000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.1700/- and other allowances as admissible under rule of the Company.

Eligibility of candidates: Following two categories of candidates are eligible to apply:
1)  Category-A:  For candidates having ITI certificate.
(i) Qualification: ITI passed in the Trade of Wireman/Electrician from Govt. ITI and Govt. approved ITI only.
(ii) Age: The candidate must not be less than 18 years or more than 37 years of age as on 01-01-2013. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC, ST(P) and ST(H) candiates.

(2) Category-B: Temporary workers engaged in any power utility to work as Sahayak.
(i) Experience: The temporary worker engaged in any power utility for performing the job of Sahayak continuously for more that 3(three) years.
(ii) Age: The applicant should not be less than 18 years and more than 37 years of age as on 01-04-2013. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC and ST candidates.
(iii) Educational Qualification: H.S.L.C. passed. Provided that temporary workers engaged in any power utility who have rendered service for not less than minimum period of 3 years are allowed one time relaxation for this recruitment only on educational qualification from HSLC passed to Class VIII standard passed. However, they will have to submit certificate regarding their engagement for 3 years from concerned Assistant General Manager.
