Assam Public Serice Commission (APSC) invites applications for various post under Assam Goverment

Assam Public Service Commission invites application from Indian Citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government in the scale of pay as indicated against each and carrying usual allowances as admissible under rules of the Govt. of Assam:

1. 1(ONE) POST OF PRINCIPAL (OPEN CATEGORY) OF BINESWAR BRAHMA ENGINEERING COLLEGE, KOKRAJHAR UNDER HIGHER EDUCATION (TECH.) DEPTT.(RE-ADVT.)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 37400/- to Rs. 67000/- Plus Academic Grade pay of Rs. 10000/- with special pay of Rs.3000/- PM plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
Age: 45 years to 55 years as on 01-01-2013 with relaxation applicable to SC/ST communities as per Rules
in force. No upper age limit for Departmental candidates.
Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech. and M.E/M.Tech. in appropriate Branch of Engineering/Technology with 1st Class Degree of B.E/B.Tech. or M.E/M.Tech. level with Ph.D. Degree in Engineering. Highly desirable in post Ph.D. publication and guiding Ph.D. students.
Experience: Minimum of 10(Ten) years experience in Teaching/Research/Industry out of which atleast 3(three) years shall be at the level of Professor in Engineering College of Degree level.


2.  9 (NINE) POSTS OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN THE JORHAT INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, JORHAT AND BINESWAR BRAHMA ENGINEERING COLLEGE, KOKRAJHAR
UNDER HIGHER EDUCATION (TECH.) DEPTT. (RE- ADVT.):

a. Power Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
(No. of post: 3 (three) (STP-1, OBC/MOBC-1, SC-1)

b. Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
(No. of post: 3 (three) (STP-1, OBC/MOBC-1, SC-1)

c. Chemical & Process Control Engineering

(No. of post: 3 (three) (STP-1, OBC/MOBC-1, SC-1)

Scale of pay: Rs.37,400/- to Rs.57,000 with AGP of Rs.9000 PM plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules

Age: 35-50 years as on 01-01-2013. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates. No. age limit to Departmental candidates.

Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech & M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent eighter in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech and Ph.D. or equivalent in appropriate discipline. Post Ph.D. publication and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable
Experience: minimum of 5 years experience in Teaching/Research/Industry of which 2(two) years post Ph.D. experience highly desirable.

3. 1(ONE) POST OF SPECIAL OFFICER (AHOM STUDIES)(OPEN CATEGORY) IN THE DIRECTORATE OF HISTORICAL & ANTIQUARIAN STUDIES, GAUHATI, ASSAM UNDER HIGHER EDUCATION (TECHNICAL) DEPTT.(RE-ADVT.)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 8000/- to Rs. 35000/- (P.B-3) with Grade pay of Rs. 5100/- PM plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
Age: 21 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2013. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates.
Educational Qualification & Experience: 
i) Post Graduate Degree in History of a recognized University.
ii) A certificate/diploma in Ahom-Tai from a recognized University.
iii) Published works in History. Proficiency in reading and deciphering of Ahom-Tai Manuscripts is desirable.

4.  THE FOLLOWING 3(THREE) POSTS OF LECTURER IN THE GOVERNMENT AYURVEDIC COLLEGE, JALUKBARI, GUWAHATI UNDER H & F.W (B) DEPTT.:

Departments:  a) Dravyaguna, b) Shalakyatantra, c) Shalyatantra

No. of Post:  1(One) in each Department
Category: UR
Reservation of post as per reservation policy in force as applicable.
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15600/- to Rs. 39,100/- with AGP of Rs. 6000/- P.M plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules
Age: 21 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2013. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5(five) years in case of SC/STP & STH candidates
Educational Qualification:
a. A degree in Ayurveda from a University established by law or a Statutory Board/Faculty/Examining body of Indian Medicine or its equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 and registered Assam Board of Ayurvedic Medicine/ State Council of Indian Medicine, Assam.
b. A Post Graduate qualification in the subject/specialty concerned included in the Schedule to Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.
c. Adequate knowledge of Sanskrit.
Desirable: Original published papers/books on the subject

5. 80(EIGHTY) POSTS OF AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER UNDER AGRICULTURE DEPTT:
Reservation: STP-2 (Women-Nil), STH-9 Nine (3 for Women), SC-7 (2 for Women), OB/MOBC-29 (9 for Women), UR-33 (10 for Women), PH-3
SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 12000/- to Rs. 40,000/- (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- P.M plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
Age: 21 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2013. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5(five) years in case of SC/STP & STH candidates
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. (Agriculture) or a degree declared equivalent to B.Sc.(Agriculture) from a recognized University and also recognized by the Govt. of Assam.

6. 8(EIGHT) POSTS OF ASSISTANT AGRICULTURAL ENGINEER UNDER AGRICULTURE DEPTT.
Reservation: OBC/MOBC-4 (1 for Women), UR-4 (1 for Women)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 12000/- to Rs. 40,000/- (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- P.M plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
Age: 21 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2013. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5(five) years in case of SC/STP & STH candidates
Educational Qualification: A degree in Agricultural Engineering or a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University or a pass in parts – A&B of the Associate Membership Examination of Institution of Engineers (India).


The last date of issue of application form by the undersigned and submission of application form duly filled up to the Commission’s office is fixed on 04-05-2013.

Applications which are signed by the candidates and accompanied by all particulars including original Treasury Challan for Rs.5.00 (Rs.2.50 for SC and ST) as application fee showing name of post and Department and also full Head of Account ‘NON TAX REVENUE-OTHER NON TAX REVENUE-0051-PSC, 102-STATE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION APPLICATION/EXAMINATION
FEE RECEIPT OF A.P.S.C.’ as called for in the application form supplied by the Commission only shall be considered and candidates fulfilling all the terms of the advertisement of the respective post shall be called for interview/written test where necessary as decided by the Commission.

Fee (payable through Treasury Challan) only is non-refundable and non-inter-transferable from one post to another. Candidates who apply for different posts appearing in this advertisement must submit separate set of testimonials and Treasury Challans for each post. However, candidates who are not employed need not furnish the above Treasury Challan for any post.
