The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat invites application from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Associate Professor and Professor as per UGC Regulations in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, and Computer Science and Engineering.
The pay scale will be as per UGC norms but higher starting salaries will be considered for deserving candidates.
Qualification: Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) in the preceding degrees (BTech/ BE and MTech) with high academic standing throughout.
Experience:
1) For Associate Professor: A minimum of eight(8) years of teaching/research/professional experience (excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.) of which at least six(6) years should be at the level of Assistant Professor, Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer etc. in a research organization or industry. Published work in high quality refereed international journals.
Bachelor degree in respective branch is must. Candidates applying for higher positions, if do not meet above stipulated criteria, may also be considered for lower positions. The Selection Committee may relax the professional experience requirements for candidates with exceptional academic record.
2) For Professor: A of ten (10) years of teaching/research/ professional experience (excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.) of which at least six(6) years should be at the level of Associate Professor or at equivalent level in research organization or industry as on the date of application. Published work in high quality refereed journals.
The candidate should have demonstrated strong teaching abilities at teaching at undergraduate and post graduate level, and leadership in research/development in a specific area of specialization in terms of strong record of publications in reputed journals and conference proceedings, patents, laboratory/course development, guidance of Master and Ph.D. students and/or other relevant professionals activities.
